Webinar: Thermal Expansion – and How Thermal Analysis Can Help Create Quality Products
About this webinar:
Thermal expansion produces mechanical stresses that may cause problems for a product’s longevity, especially when the thermal expansion coefficients of the used materials do differ. Thermomechanical analysis (TMA) is a perfect tool for studying the expansion behavior and softening temperature of various materials. It provides fundamental information about the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), the glass transition temperature (Tg), but also about viscoelastic properties.
Date & Time:
26th January 2022 (11 p.m -12.00 a.m)
In this webinar you will look at:
- Why thermal expansion is important when it comes to product quality
- Ways to measure material by means of TMA and which material information can be gained
- Examples of TMA measurement curves and what they tell us about the material
